As a dessert lover, I have my few guilty pleasures that I must have here and there. One of them is the Churro, a fried-dough pastry filled with dulce de leche and then rolled in a mix of sugar and cinnamon. Last month, I came across a quick and easy recipe for Churros that I have been pulling out whenever I feel like having these sweet pastry.

You will need:

1 cup water
1/3 cup butter
2 tablespoon (packed) brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup all-plain flour
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Vegetable oil
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 ground cinnamon
Wooden spoon

Step 1: Bring to a boil in medium-high heat the water with the butter, brown sugar and salt. In a bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon and set aside.

Step 2: Once it has boiled, remove from heat and pour the flour, stirring with the wooden spoon until you form a ball.

Step 3: At this point, add the vanilla and the egg, mixing well.

Step 4: In a bigger pan, heat the oil. In a pastry bag with a star nozzle, careful pipe the dough in the oil in 5" strips in batch of 2, cutting the end with scissors.

Step 5: Fry the dough for at least 2 minutes each side or until golden brown. Once fully fried, placed them over paper towel to drain out the remaining oil.

Step 6: Once they cool enough the be handled, roll them into the sugar-cinnamon mix previously prepared.
